My studio is nestled in a beautiful country setting. The
scenery and atmosphere are the first steps in promoting a
wonderful sense of well being. When you open the studio
door, you will be entering a unique and relaxing
atmosphere.
Using a combination of aromatherapy, music, massage and
other spa techniques, you'll find the perfect balance for
body, mind, and spirit.
As you lie on the table, nestled under warm, cozy sheets,
beautiful music draws you inward. The smell of
aromatherapy and the feeling of warm massage oil soothe
your entire body. You feel yourself settle deeper into the
table as you ready yourself to escape from the world...one
hour at a time.
Relaxation plays an important part of staying healthy and
managing stress. The body is naturally designed to be in a
state of homeostasis, or balance. Massage can soothe
the nerves, producing a feeling of well being, and bring the
body and mind into harmony.
Massage has many positive effects including, pain relief
due to muscular stress and strain. When lactic acids build
up in the muscle due to physical exertion, stress, etc., they
may cause soreness. These toxins are encouraged by
massage to be directed toward the lymph nodes, which
helps with elimination. Massage pumps fresh blood into
the muscle increasing circulation and relieving pain. It
also strengthens the immune system by acting as a
"mechanical cleanser" pushing along lymph and hastening
the elimination of wastes and toxic debris. Let's not forget
the relief from stress. Stress causes the release of
hormones that trigger vessels to constrict, therefore
reducing circulation. Massage increases circulation
invoking deep relaxation of the body and mind, creating a
calming inner peace.
